Do You Remember?

Clinton knew 2 things, after she lost the primary to Barack Obama in 2008:

1. She knew that she would try again to become president again in 2016.

And

2. She knew that the voters had already rejected her once.

In the last few weeks of this election, I started  hyping Hillary for president.  However I had been critical of her candidacy since she announced that she would again run for president.

No candidate is flawless and many of you are aware that I have often criticized President Obama for his conciliatory response to Republican bullying.

I don’t engage in Sugar Coating a candidate merely because she was the lesser of two evils.

Hillary has A LOT of flaws: She is a Liar and she lied over the most inconsequential details; Like flip flopping in her position on marriage equality for example and when the lesbian interviewer pressed her by giving her a chance to acknowledge that she had changed her position, she refused to do so.

Is it any wonder that America’s First Orange  Internet Troll President honed in on her inability to be honest?

Yet despite my misgivings about Hillary Clinton, I voted for her.

I’ve helped maintain the Blue status of the state I currently reside in. So when Trump’s supporters accused me of not doing anything I can rest assured that I did my part.

What I didn’t do though was write about Hillary Clinton in such glowing ways that ignored reality.  I didn’t write about Hillary dancing, drinking a beer or doing any of the things that make her One Of Us, well because Hillary isn’t one of us.

Don’t get me wrong, because I am a progressive and because even though I was a Bernie Sanders supporter, I didn’t go out to sabotage the Democratic party like some of Bernie’s supporters did after the primary was stolen from him.  I voted for Hillary.

As I previously wrote:

Clinton knew 2 things, after she lost the primary to Barack Obama in 2008:

1. She knew that she would try again to become president again in 2016.

And

2. She knew that the voters had already rejected her once.

One would think that given these two factors alone that Hillary would have been on her best behavior and not have had that email debacle. I worked for the government during the GWB years, it’s NOT impossible to follow the rules.

Given the fact that she was aware of Obama kissing Republican ass and appointed Republicans to key posts in his administration (The Proverbial Fox in the Hen House scenario) she wouldn’t have had to destroy 33,000 emails that shouldn’t have been written and sent opver her private server anyway.

Instead, I surmise that Hillary Clinton’s sense of entitlement took over her better judgement and with her ally Debbie Wasserman-Shultz embarked on the trail of getting what she thought was rightfully hers: The Presidency of the United States.

On Election night, I didn’t write Posts about why I thought Hillary was going to win, why? Because I didn’t spend months creating a false narrative for my readers and stayed rooted in reality. Maybe Dorothy should have done the same.

I didn’t boost the expectations of the white women in this society who actually thought that this was a fair country.  Therefore even though I am scared, I don’t have to also feel mortified as well.
